It started with a question
Formi was born from that frustration. Based in the American South, we started as a small online shop with one mission: bring salon-quality, 100% human hair to Black women at prices that actually make sense.
We spent our early days listening — to customers, to stylists, to women who had tried everything and were still searching for hair that felt like their own. What we heard shaped everything: the textures we carry, the caps we design, and the standards we hold ourselves to.
